These are the terms and conditions between G. Northey Consulting, LLC (“Company”) and class participants, examinees, or the legal entity on whose behalf they are accessing Company’s products and/or services (“Participant”). Participant’s access to the Company’s products and services is contingent upon acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Products and Services Provided
Company offers a review class (“Class”) overviewing the contents of the ServSafe® Manager Book, 7th Edition Revised (“Book”) and the Proctored ServSafe Manager Exam (“Exam”). The registration fee for the Class shall include one copy of the Book which includes an Exam Answer Sheet and the Exam.
Company also offers the Exam solely without the Class or Book.
Book Delivery
The book shall be sent to the mailing address included on Participant’s registration form via United States Postal Service (“USPS”). Company is not liable for delivery delays once the book has been received by the USPS or its partners.
Class Content
The Class is intended to review of the contents of the Book. Participant is advised to read and review the Book prior to attending the Class.
Exam-Only
Participant may purchase only the Exam which shall consist solely of the proctored exam and includes one Exam Answer Sheet, provided to Participant at the time and place of the Exam.
Replacement Exam Answer Sheets
Exam Answer Sheets may be replaced at the published price upon availability. Company is not responsible for lost or damaged Exam Answer Sheets.
Start Time
Class: The class shall begin at the published start time. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes early.
Exam: The exam shall start at the published start time, or when all registered examinees arrive and are ready to begin, whichever occurs first. Late arrivals will not be admitted and are subject to the terms of the “Transfers” clause provided that Participant retains their blank Exam Answer Sheet .
ServSafe® Policies, Procedures, and Agreements
Company provides the Class and Exam in accordance with all applicable ServSafe® Policies, Procedures, and Agreements. Participant agrees to abide by all such policies including but not limited to the Examinee Test Use Agreement, retesting policies, and exam procedures.
Accommodation and Foreign Language Translator Requests
If needed, Participant is responsible for requesting testing accommodations or foreign language translators in advance of the Exam and in accordance to ServSafe® policies and procedures. Participant is further responsible for arranging for approved accommodations to be provided at the time and location of the Exam.
Payment Policy
Payment shall be due at the time of registration, payable online via credit card. Check payments must be received prior to rendering of products or services. No cash payments accepted. Payments by check are subject to an “Inconvenience” Fee of 5% of the total due or $5.00, whichever is greater.
Sales Tax
Sales are subject to City and Borough of Juneau sales tax. Company mails class material to Participant’s mailing address in advance of the class. Participant must use the appropriate link to ensure that the class material is taxed appropriately.
Transfers
Transfers to another Class or Exam within sixty (60) days of the original Class/Exam shall be assessed a $25 fee if requested, in writing, at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam. The transfer fee is $75 for requests received less than fourteen (14) but more than three (3) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam. Transfer requests received less than three (3) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam shall be considered no-shows.
Refunds
Participant may request to withdraw from the Class or Exam in writing at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam, Participant shall receive a refund for class and/or exam fees, less a $25 administration fee. The withdrawal fee is $75 for requests received less than fourteen (14) but more than three (3) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam. Withdrawal requests received less than three (3) calendar days prior to the Class/Exam shall be considered no-shows.
A no-show is considered a withdrawal without prior notice and is not eligible for a refund or transfer.
Unopened, unadulterated materials (Book and Exam Answer Sheet) may be returned for a full refund; however, the return shall be at Participant’s expense and is F.O.B destination (Company).
Cancellations
If Company cancels a Class or Exam due to unforeseen circumstances, Participant may re-schedule to another Class ninety (90) days of the original date, and the transfer fee will be waived. Participant may also request a refund and the administration fee shall be waived; however, if materials are not returned in a new, unopen state, only 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.
Indemnification
Participant acknowledges and accepts responsibility to read, review, comprehend, and practice proper food safety protocols. Participant agrees to waive any claims and hold harmless Company for any liabilities or damages that may arise as a result of my participation in the Class or Exam.
